Celebrating the cultures of Roosevelt Island

Bridging both Long Island City and Upper East Side is Roosevelt Island. With a population of roughly 15,000, this culturally diverse “neighborhood” is home to families from Europe, Africa and Asia, in addition the triboro areas. The island itself presents unique opportunities, with sculptures at the Northern point and national park at the south. A tram connects to residents to Manhattan, as well as a subway and bridge.
